6) Brad's Kook Awards In July, 1997 Brad was nominated for his first Kook award. George Armstrong Custer "Kicked @$$" Award, August 1998 Hook Line & Sinker, November 2002 Order of the Holey Sockpuppet, December 2002 In a non-official AUK vote, voters cast their vote as to whether they have any confidence in Brad's status as a human being. While the results were never officially announced, Brad only received one "yes" vote. This was in fact Doctor Packer, but Brad chose to ignore her humane gesture. He was also voted Looney Maroon by Acclamation. In light of one of his spates of stupid anonymous posting, the LMA Supreme Dictator declared Brad to be disqualified from any further LMA's in AUK unless he engages in more original kookery than he's recently shown. However, Brad has recently (July 1999) been nominated for a great number of awards, as he has been showing much innovation. Like all kooks, Brad had difficulty accepting the kook fame that has been thrust upon him and which he so richly deserves. In what some consider to be a move destined to be discussed for years to come, Brad protested his inclusion in the Net.Legends FAQ. Stating publicly that he though he should be considered under the "Good Guys" category and that he had been told, officially, that he was a legendary good guy. Brad pursued his quest for good guy status into alt.usenet.legends. As one would predict based on past performance, Brad did not take kindly to the reception he was given there. After an initial "BITE me, Phoenix!!" and a thread saying that he was done in AUL, Brad returned to harass and lamely threaten Phoenix. His attempts to build a lasting legacy that is favorable and well-meaning has all but out right failed. Rarely does he even attempt to be on-topic in any group he is currently in, he also resorts to self praise over and over. Again, because if he didn't, nobody else would. Brad continually rants about "Usenet Career" and he couldn't look more foolish when doing so. Usenet is *NOT* a career, Brad! Instead of trying to build a fake career based upon lies and deceit, how about turning off your computer and going out and doing it for real? Brad's latest is his daily spam about "IF YOU POST HERE SELF-ANALYZE WHY YOU ARE A LOSER" and "If you post to this newsgroup to 'get' someone, then you are a pathetic loser" posts. Brad is still upset about awards won almost five years ago. Brad is upset about awards he is still wining now! Seeing as how hyprocisy is only one of Brad's strong suits, just because he hates his awards and those who vote for him, doesn't mean he will post his own nominations "to get someone."
