5) The nasty side of Brad Jesness.
Brad claims that some of his attacks on professionals are "necessary" and that he is just making
strong points. On some occasions, Brad's posts cross the line no matter how low you set the bar.
(a) Brad is not above denigrating patients to insult their therapist and has referred to Dr.
Packer's patients as "retards" and "spastics." He also referred to children with Tourette
Syndrome as "barking like dogs."

(b) He also denigrates those who post in the Usenet groups seeking help. His response to Krista
shows his bitterness towards women, while his comment to a female poster who declared herself
as having a thought disorder: "I believe YOUR disordered thought is coming through." belies his
stated position as a mental health advocate. On a number of occasions, he has used anonymous
diagnosing to attempt to flame someone.

(c) In a post subsequently canceled by Brad, but still archived at Google, Brad called Dr. Packer
"CHILD KILLER" in response to a post about her young son's history of being suicidal and how
grateful she was to the professionals who had understood her child's disorder and helped him.
He has posted a number of anonymous attacks on her about her son's problems and has anonymously
accused her of making her son suicidal. Dr. Packer's children responded by voting for Brad for
KoTY & Usenet's Biggest CryBaby.

(e) Brad stalks people who disagree with him and then posts irresponsibly in those newsgroups or
tries to attack people when they are in those newsgroups. He has done this to Dr. Packer, Peter
Hood, Joe Parsons, Cipher, Jeremy Anderson and Dr. Andrew Beckwith to name but some. In posting
to alt.support.tourette to attack Dr. Packer, Brad upset other parents by claiming that depression
in children is the mother's fault and by suggesting that medications cannot cause serious
depression and suicidal thinking. Professionals posting to that newsgroup have criticized Brad
publicly for his posts there. He also received a warning from his ISP or his disruptive posting
in alt.newbie against Cipher.

Ironically, Brad repeatedly drags posts from other newsgroups to sci.psychology.psychotherapy while
writing to others' ISPs complaining that others are off-topic when they complain about him in
mn.general or umn.general.jobs newsgroups. Of course Brad has a different opinion when he goes into
local groups of others. That opinion apparently being "its OK for me to do so."
Concrete proof that Brad is a stalker was revealed in news by Peter Hood. Using the e-mail address
"Richarzh" <richarzh@hotmail.com> Brad had made a spurious complaint to a number of Demon
addresses about a post by Peter to SPP and he included Peter's own abuse department.
Posing as "Richarzh" Brad stalked Peter in a number of uk.local newsgroups, claiming to be Peter's
friend and asking how he could locate him.

True to form Brad has claimed his behavior was not that of a stalker and that he has done nothing
wrong. He has also made feeble attempts to claim that Peter forged the references in his reposts,
overlooking the fact that they are in the public archives, also overlooking the fact that he has
sent multiple copies to Demon. Peter has stated that he is in the process of obtaining certified
legal copies from Demon.

These revelations also implicate Brad in the "Richarzh" posts to the clinical psychology list and
other articles in other newsgroups by the same author.
(e) Brad threatened to disrupt a cancer support group by engaging in off-topic posting there. Brad
also callously posted to Peter Hood: "How's David Rixon? (oh yah, died morning 2/06/98 07.45
GMT, aged 36,)" referring to a post where Peter informed the cancer support group that his
friend had died. Brad denied being the author of that anonymous post, but failed to realize his
"telltale signs and symbols."

(f) Brad has sent sexually aggressive or harassing e-mails to those who disagree with him. Men as
well as women have publicly stated that they have received sexually harassing or aggressive
e-mail from Brad. Mark Morin stated that he had received an e-mail from Brad threatening his life.

(1) In 1996, Brad posted as "Xerxes" and attempted to get posters in a number of
alt.sex newsgroups to harass Dr. Packer. He has denied being Xerxes, but other
evidence of his posting to alt.sex groups was recently presented and there are many

(4) In one of his now most (in)famous posts, Brad declared that Dr. Packer had left
him "dickless." He has since complained about everyone referring to him as dickless,
ignoring the fact that he was the first to proclaim his diminished state. He recently
stated that he sent "emergency" e-mails to the Iowa State Board of Psychology to ask
them to do something to get Dr. Rogers to stop talking about his "dick." The Board did
not respond to his urgent request.

(5) In January 2002, Brad or someone posting as Brad posted numerous times that Dr. John M.
Price and other members of SPP are gay. Their names were also forged a couple of times
as well. Seeing as how Brad has a history of abusing anonymous servers one can't say for
sure if these were by him or not. You decide for yourself as they are included as the
abuse trickle-down effect Brad causes.

In June 2002, Brad once again is sending posts to SPP about people being gay. This time
there is a twist though. Shortly after sending one anonymous post that "Just Taylor" is
gay he sends him e-mail, saying that he didn't create the post.

(6) Brad posts about how he would kill "Sanford Wallace" if he was stranded on a island with
him. He believes that this "Sanford Wallace" is overweight so of course he is going to
pull out all the "fat" flames he can. The questions remains, who is Sanford Wallace and
why should I care? Brad thinks Sanford Wallace and "Just Taylor" are the same person.
Of course Brad attempts to hide behind "X-No-Archive: yes" yet is always first to cry about
how other people do so. No need to point out how much of a hypocrite Brad is.

(g) Brad also posts sexually aggressive or harassing messages in news. He frequently resorts to
anonymous posting for such messages or attempts to get others involved by posting to irrelevant
groups. Recently Brad or as he claims, someone forging his name, has been very sexually
aggressive in a teen support group on depression. To an outside observer the posts may appear
to be from Brad but whether or not they are can't truly be decided.

(h) Brad is quick to use his own wife for defense of his actions yet complains when other people
bring her up for any reason. What Brad has no problem doing is attacking the wives of the other
people and did just that after seeking help from Dr. Andrew Beckwith, suggesting his wife is a

In December of 2000, the American Psychological Association Ethics Committee opened a formal ethics
investigation of Brad. One of the charges was sexual harassment, based on his signed usenet posts.
Eventually, they had to drop the case without action when it became uncertain that they had any
jurisdiction for a description of their actions.

(3) Brad filed an ethical grievance against Dr. Dan Rogers with the Iowa State Board
of Psychology that was dismissed without action after Brad smeared it all over the Internet
in usenet and on web sites. He claimed he has or was trying to file one against then -
President Dr. Martin Seligman with the American Psychological Association. He has
threatened to file complaints about Dr. Leslie Packer and Dr. Nancy Alvarado as well.

Brad actually did file one against Dr. Packer with the NYS Board of Psychology, who quickly
dismissed his complaint. His attempts to file ethical complaints against Dr. Dan Rogers and
Dr. Leslie Packer with the APA Ethics Committee also resulted in his complaints being
immediately dismissed.

(7) At times, Brad has published people's home or personal information in usenet. He
partially revealed Dr. Packer's address and phone number, and has anonymously published
more detailed information for Cipher, Phoenix, Dr. Dan Rogers, and Jeremy Anderson. At
one point, Brad and/or Tim "Skidmark" Brown published Kimberly Barnard's home street
address. Within hours, she started receiving harassing phone calls through the night.
Ms. Barnard announced that she had contacted the sheriff and set up a trace on her phone

similar telephone calls.
(8) Brad attempted to intimidate a new graduate student by suggesting that maybe he was a
colleague of the student's professors. He then referred to another student who had lost
their chance at a graduate education presumably due to their usenet conduct. Brad also
attempted to intimidate student Kym Bernard, informing her that he would approach her
state board and prevent her from ever getting a license, in advance of her even
qualifying; "An excellent time to complain to State Professional Licensing Boards is
BEFORE someone is licensed.". When Ms Bernard pointed out this threat Brad responded with a
post whose subject line is "Kym: Are you being "Threatened" ??". The text of this message

(i) Brad is always claiming that he people are stalking and harassing him but in reality it is
Brad who is very abusive, who stalks and harass's people. Brad will follow other posters into
groups he never heard of just because someone he is mad at posts there. The current author
of the Brad FAQ can attest to that.
(1) Once Brad learned that "Just Taylor" posts to alt.autos.audi he went into the group with
a this post. With just two direct responses by "Just Taylor" Brad flooded the group hoping
to disrupt it. As usual he failed and headed back to his usual haunts for attention.

(2) Brad's obsession with "Just Taylor" really went overboard in early February of 2002.
Brad was trying to make a point on how "Just Taylor" is a stalker and numerous other lies

Periodically (cyclically?), Brad promises to leave and not return. Many of Brad's early goodbye messages
were compiled in a thread in auk called "Brad's Farewell Speech(es)." The longest Brad has ever
apparently stayed away is a few months.
Following a nasty run-in with people from alt.2600 and alt.hackers.malicious, in February and March
of 2001, Brad seemingly disappeared from usenet and didn't reappear until July, when Dr. Packer posted
some request for research participants in other groups. As soon as she reappeared in usenet, Brad
showed up in those groups to "anonymously" question her research design and then to dissuade
people from participating.
In November 2001 Brad was once again asking for "peace" but not doing much about it himself. The
current FAQ author twice offered an olive-branch and even removed this FAQ on Brad's word that he
refrain from attacking SPP regulars. On both occasions of the removal of this FAQ Brad was posting
to SPP within minutes, attacking SPP regulars as if no deal ever took place.

On June 28, 2002 Brad is again posting in SPP and searching/stalking for anyone who has contact with
regulars of SPP, harassing them via e-mail. Brad has no choice since his lies to the police and lawyers
have gone nowhere. Both the police and the lawyer he begged to do something about this FAQ told
him to bug off, he had no criminal or civil case. Makes sense, there is nothing illegal over proving
links to ones abuse that is archived at Google.
It is no surprise that Brad is pissed that to date only he has been investigated for abuse and stalking.
So what is he to do? MORE abuse and stalking!
